Stability for Miria
Miria and her daughter have been struggling for several years to find stable housing. Your generosity made it happen!
When Miria’s partner died, she was drowning in grief. She lost her housing and began bouncing around from family to friends and back. Her last stop was with her mother. But her mom’s substance use disorder made the home unsafe for Miria and her daughter.
Days before Thanksgiving, they moved to a shelter. They were quickly connected with Agate’s Rapid ReHousing services and found an apartment downtown. But Miria didn’t feel comfortable raising her daughter there. With the help of her case manager, Miria and her daughter found a more family-friendly apartment in the suburbs.
Miria says that, for now, they’re just resting. But she’s hoping to find a home with more space for her family to grow.
Your generosity made this possible. And you can make more stories like Miria’s possible with a gift today! Donate HERE!
